Who We Are

We are a group of US-based World War 2 military history enthusiasts that reenact the German paratroopers (Deutsche Fallschirmjäger). Specifically, our impression is that of the 2nd Battalion, 6th Parachute Regiment, 2nd Parachute Division, during the battle for Normandy, France in the summer of 1944, but we also can portray German paras from just about any period and theatre from the war.

We are all apolitical, and do not subscribe to the Nazi ideals or any other radical politics... we are simply amateur historians with a fascination with the paratroopers of the period. Through the course of our hobby, we have also become associated with original Fallschirmjäger veterans, and our group has an official member status with the Bund Deutsches Fallschirmjäger (Federation of German Paratroopers), which is the overall organization of veteran paratroopers, past & present. We are also honored to be invited to Luftlande-Sturmregiment (Airlanding Assault Regiment) reunions in Germany. To this end, we strive to portray these men as accurately as possible, and are constantly learning and expanding our knowledge of the Fallschirmjäger.

We participate in public displays, where we put on a static representation for all to see (encampment, with many bits of militaria on display), or we join other units in non-public tactical events, where we face recreated Allied units in mock combat. In either instance, we use the most authentic equipment and weapons (firing blanks) as possible.

Our "unit" is currently made up of three "companies", each in a different geographical region of the United States, and each adhering to the same basic set of authenticity standards. We have chosen to represent the same II.Batallion (2nd Battalion) from FJR.6, and each regional unit is designated as a different company from that battalion:
